This project was an extensive combination of researching, writing (both essays and poems), and presenting. Each student was assigned a country to represent: my country was China. Once we had been assigned countries we were tasked to discover the lost voices of WWI and form them into poems and essays that will be compiled into a book. This process included studying your designated country, using and citing primary sources, analyzing poetry, and using rhyme and meter to create our own poems. After the project was finished we exhibited our book, History Through the Eyes of the Living, at a book launch party. Every student had roles that contributed to the book launch party.
I was the Event Manager, meaning that my job was to coordinate the event. These tasks included: - Creating and assigning group roles - Organizing and meeting with venue owners - Coordinating event budget with fundraising - Obtaining event supplies
